Day 16 | Joanna Raczynska

In 1989, after fifty years of occupation, Poland held its first free post-WWII elections and ushered in a democratic republic system of government. Good Faith Effort asks young Poles in the capital of Warsaw to remember that pivotal moment.

  1. The influence of democracy on other cultures is almost uneasy in a way. The conversation between the interviewees is for me, finding a method to explain the exciting new jubilance of their political standing. The imagery of the graffiti with statements of F the USA was contrasting the ideas finding democracy yet using it at the same time. Overall I find the quest for the best method of decision making a extremely interesting topic because it opens up so many viewpoints. The artistic way of capturing this event left me intrigued and wanting to hear more people!!
