17 Days is a curated video series for the plasma screens at the Richmond Center Art Galleries. The concept of 17 Days is that there will be 17 Days selected beginning with the spring 2008 semester and then continuing in the fall semesters. On each of the 17 Days, 1 artist will be featured as a solo screening and their video will play all day on the day that they are assigned. One artist’s video work per selected day will play continuously and simultaneously on both of the 50” plasma screens, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, located at the front entrance of the Richmond Center for Visual Art.

This series is an exchange with the University at Buffalo. The series will screen here in the Fall and travel to Buffalo in the Spring. What is curated in Buffalo for the Fall will be on view here on campus here in Michigan in the Spring. This series has also begun to travel to other universities beyond this collaboration.
